Kuala Lumpur, 14 June 2013 – Maybank Kim Eng and Bursa jointly hosted an evening with the legendary investment expert, Jim Rogers, at the Shangri-La Hotel yesterday. Entitled “Jim Rogers: Up Close and Personal”, the exclusive event was held in conjunction with Invest Malaysia 2013 and was attended by more than 300 clients of Maybank Kim Eng.

Jim Rogers spent the evening sharing insights into the Malaysian market against the backdrop of the current state of the world economy and his outlook of the global financial markets. This was followed by a question and answer session with the audience which was moderated by Prasenjit Kumar Basu, Maybank Kim Eng’s Regional Head of Research & Economics. The questions covered a broad range of topics including gold and palm oil trading, property investment, equities trading in ASEAN markets, as well as flows, liquidity and volatility in the global markets. There was also active participation from the floor seeking expert advice, investment tips and strategies from Jim Rogers, as well his personal investing experiences.
