    Purpose of Financing
    • For working capital or expansion of productive capacity or both.

      RM50,000 per customer
    • Maximum
      RM5.0 million per customer

    Tenure of Financing

    Maximum of 5 years from the first drawdown date by BNM

    Profit/ Financing Rate
    • The profit rate during FSMI2-i is based on BNM’s funding rate + spread, where the BNM’s funding rate is 1.5% p.a.
    • Upon expiry of the 5 years financing tenure, the rate to be charged to the financing account will be at the market rate

    Eligibility

    All SMIs operating in selected sectors which fulfil the following conditions:

    • Shareholders’ funds of not exceeding RM2.0 million.
    • Wholly owned Bumiputera institutions (100% Bumiputera) residing in Malaysia incorporated under the Companies Act 1965, the Co-operative Societies Act 1993, the Societies Act 1966 and registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia or any other authoritative bodies.
    • All economic sectors are eligible to place under NEF2-i fund.
    • Business enterprise based on the definition of SME by BNM.
    • Shareholding by Public Listed Companies and Government Link Companies (if any) should not exceed 20%.
    • Business track record of not more than 7 years in operation.
    NEF2-i cannot be applied for:
    • Purchase of shares.
    • Refinancing of existing credit facilities.
    • Purchase of land/Real estate investment.
    • Properties development.
    • Investment holding company.
    • Activities where stock in trade is money; and (including credit, leasing, factoring and insurance businesses).
    • Non-economic or non-healthy activities.
    • Non-Shariah compliant business activities.
