How to Apply

For teenagers between 12 to 18 years old


To apply:

Visit a Maybank branch near you with your primary documents and parent/guardian.

Required Documents

  • Original Identity Card (IC) or birth certificate of teenage applicant
  • Parents' / Guardian's IC and other supporting documents to verify parentage or guardianship

It is compulsory to provide an indemnity letter signed by parents or guardians to open a new imteen-i account as well as to access Internet banking facilities via Maybank2u.com and Maybankard.

Once attained the age of 18 and above, the account will be re-classified to Personal Savers-i.or Savings Account-i. Account number & ATM charges will remain and customers may continue to operate the account with all the existing services as usual.

How to qualify

Maintain RM1,000 in the account during the examination year for SPM, STPM/A-Levels until the date of submission for the Cash Award.


1st Class Honours Degree

The account must be opened before the accountholder reaches the age of 18. At the age of 18, the accountholder must maintain RM1,000 in the account. The account must be maintained until the date of submission for the Cash Award.


Claiming the Cash Award

The Cash Award claims must be performed at the accountholder's home branch within one (1) month from the official results announcement.

The Cash Award may only be claimed once regardless of the number of imteen-i accounts held by the accountholder for each examination.
