When travelling abroad, kindly be informed that you are required to activate your Debit Card Overseas Flag feature to gain access to worldwide ATMs for cash withdrawals and point-of-sale (POS) transactions. Once you have activated this feature, you are all set to use your debit card for payments.

Please be aware that the secure verification features for ATM and POS transactions may vary among countries and merchants. You are advised to always conduct overseas transactions with caution to avoid any fraudulent cases.

Below are the simple steps to activate Debit Card Overseas Flag via Maybank2u for overseas transaction and purchase.

Step 1: Log in to Maybank2u.

Step 2: Click on Settings and select Cards.

Step 3: Under Manage Debit Cards, select Overseas Debit Card Activation.

Step 4: Click “Disable” button and set your preferred date.

Step 5: Request for SMS TAC and click Confirm to complete.

In order to make a purchase with your Debit Card, please set the Purchase Limit via Maybank2u by referring to the steps below.

Step 1: Log in to Maybank2u.

Step 2: Click on Settings and select Cards.

Step 3: Under Manage Debit Cards, select Preferred Purchase Limit.

Step 4: Request for SMS TAC and click Save to complete.
