Dear Valued Customers,
Please be informed that the pay limit feature for your online banking will reset to a new default daily limit on 5th December 2024. This enhanced security helps to minimise the risks in the event of unauthorised access, ensuring a safer online banking experience.
The daily pay limits are as follows:
Pay Limit Type |
Default Daily Limit |
Maximum Daily Limit |
---|---|---|
Pay Bills: |
||
Maybank Products & Services | RM3,000 | No Limit |
Others, inclusive of Zakat | RM3,000 | RM100,000.00 |
JomPay |
RM3,000 |
RM50,000.00 |
If you want to change and increase your default daily limit, you can do so on the Maybank2u website (under Settings > Pay & Transfer > Pay Limit). These changes apply to payments made on both the Maybank2u website and the MAE app.
For your online banking security, a 12-hour cooling-off period is introduced for any limit increase request. This allows you time to take precautionary measures should there be attempts by scammers to increase transfer limits for unauthorised transactions. Contact our Customer Care hotline at 1300-88-6688 or activate the Kill Switch via the Maybank2u website or the MAE app to temporarily block the online banking account.
You can still make payments up to your current limit during the 12-hour cooling-off period. Your new limit will take effect after the 12-hour cooling-off period. We will notify you via the MAE app or SMS when the cooling-off period starts and ends.

Thank you.
