Maybank Extends Flood Relief Assistance to Affected Customers Across the Country

In aid of flood victims affected by heavy rainfall in various states, Maybank today announced that it is offering Flood Relief Assistance to individuals and SME customers. The relief assistance is aimed at easing the financial burden of Maybank customers impacted by the floods.

The Flood Relief Assistance is designed to address the challenges the flood victims are facing and will include, amongst others, deferment of financing/loan repayment, a reduction in monthly instalment or extension of repayment tenure.

Customers can apply for the Flood Relief Assistance via two (2) easy channels, as follows:

  1. Email to floodrelief@maybank.com providing name/company name, IC number/Business Registration, contact number, type of loan/product (e.g Mortgage, Hire Purchase, Term Loan Financing); Vehicle number (for Hire Purchase)
  1. Visit or call any of our branches, Commercial Banking Centres or Auto Finance Centres (whichever is relevant) nationwide

For SME customers, they are encouraged to contact their relationship managers for assistance.

Additionally, the Bank is also offering waiver of fees and charges for selected services, such as replacement of debit cards, ATM cards or cheque books lost or damaged during the floods.

Meanwhile, Maybank Group’s insurance arm, Etiqa, has put in place a quick and easy claim process for its insurance policyholders and takaful certificate holders, with no forms or supporting documents required. To submit a claim, the respective policyholders or certificate holders can:

1. Submit a text message, photos or videos of the flood to Etiqa dedicated 24-hour WhatsApp numbers:

Maybank Menawarkan Bantuan Kewangan Banjir kepada Pelanggan yang Terkesan di Seluruh Negara


Bagi membantu mangsa banjir yang terkesan akibat hujan lebat di pelbagai negeri, Maybank hari ini mengumumkan bahawa ia menawarkan Bantuan Kewangan Banjir kepada pelanggan individu dan perusahaan kecil dan sederhana (PKS). Bantuan kewangan ini bertujuan untuk meringankan beban kewangan pelanggan Maybank yang terkesan oleh banjir.


Bantuan Kewangan Banjir ini direka untuk menangani cabaran yang dihadapi oleh mangsa banjir dan akan merangkumi, antara lain, penangguhan bayaran pembiayaan/pinjaman, pengurangan ansuran bulanan atau lanjutan tempoh pembayaran balik.


Pelanggan boleh memohon Bantuan Kewangan Banjir melalui dua (2) saluran mudah seperti berikut:


1. Emel ke floodrelief@maybank.com dengan menyertakan nama/nama syarikat, nombor kad pengenalan/pendaftaran perniagaan, nombor telefon, jenis pinjaman/produk (contoh: Pinjaman Perumahan, Pembiayaan Sewa Beli, Pembiayaan Pinjaman Berjangka); Nombor kenderaan (untuk Pembiayaan Sewa Beli).


2. Kunjungi atau hubungi mana-mana cawangan kami, Pusat Perbankan Komersial atau Pusat Pembiayaan Auto (yang berkaitan) di seluruh negara.


Bagi pelanggan PKS, mereka digalakkan untuk menghubungi pengurus perhubungan mereka untuk bantuan.


Selain itu, Bank juga menawarkan pengecualian yuran dan caj bagi perkhidmatan terpilih, seperti penggantian kad debit, kad ATM atau buku cek yang hilang atau rosak akibat banjir.

Sementara itu, cabang insurans Kumpulan Maybank, Etiqa, telah menyediakan proses tuntutan yang cepat dan mudah kepada pemegang polisi insurans dan sijil takafulnya, tanpa memerlukan borang atau dokumen sokongan. Untuk membuat tuntutan, pemegang polisi atau sijil boleh:
