What is MSOS Code? The MSOS Code is a One-Time-Password (OTP) for Online Transactions that is an extension of American Express SafeKey®, Verified by Visa and Mastercard ID Check, a 3D-Secure solution that is fully adaptable to the 3D-Secure architecture & protocol as defined by American Express, Visa or Mastercard.
How To Make An Online Purchase With a MSOS Code?
| Step 1: | Please ensure your latest mobile number is the same number registered with Maybank. Otherwise, call our Customer Care Hotline at 1-300-88-6688 or Amex Customer Care Hotline at 1-800-88-9559 |
| Step 2: | Fill in your card particulars for authentication purposes at merchant webpage |
| Step 3: | Upon completion, you will be directed to Maybank's authentication page where you will be required to key in the MSOS Code. The MSOS will be sent to your mobile phone within 30-45 seconds |
| Step 4: | Please check if your mobile number is the same with as shown in Maybank's authentication page. Otherwise, please call our Customer Care Hotline at 1-300-88-6688 or Amex Customer Care Hotline at 1-800-88-9559 |
| Step 5: | Enter the MSOS Code at Maybank's authentication page and click submit to complete your authentication and proceed with the payment |
As a Principal Cardmember, you will be receiving MSOS code for Online Transactions performed by you and your Supplementary Cardmember. Should you wish to allow your Supplementary Credit/Charge Cardmember to receive MSOS code on his/her registered mobile number with the Bank, you may contact our customer service hotline via the phone number stated at the back of your Credit/Charge Card to update the mobile number.
Online Transactions with your Supplementary Credit/Charge Card
Effective 29 August 2022, for new approved Supplementary card, the MSOS code will be sent directly to the Supplementary cardholder’s registered mobile number for any online purchase at 3D-Secure website.
