How it works

To perform MoneyGram Money Transfer, simply walk in to any Maybank branch or Maybank Forex Booth. You can either choose the money to be received via cash pick-up, or transfer directly to a Philippines bank account.


How to send money?

  • Complete and submit the MoneyGram send form, and present your identification card or passport.
  • You will be given an 8-digit reference number. Please provide the reference number to your recipient for cash pick-up.
  • For MoneyGram transfer to Philippines bank account, please include recipient’s full name, bank name and account number.


How to collect cash?

  • Walk in to any MoneyGram agent location near you
  • Complete a receive form and provide the 8-digit reference number given to you
  • Submit the form and present your valid photo ID to receive your cash

Notes:

  1. Speed of service is subject to banking hours and systems availability, good funds availability and approval by MoneyGram’s verification systems.
  2. For BPI accounts, first time transfer from a new sender will take up to 2 hours. Subsequent transfer will be deposited within minutes.

Have to cancel your MoneyGram transfer?

You are able to cancel a MoneyGram transfer if your recipient hasn't collected the cash yet.

To cancel, simply visit the branch or Maybank Money Exchange where you performed the transfer. Present the original customer copy of the MoneyGram send form.

For same day cancellation, you are entitled to a refund for the service charge paid. The amount will be in Ringgit Malaysia, based on the transacted forex rate.

There will be no refund for the service charge paid if you cancel your transfer on a different day.

Transfer limit & charges

The maximum daily transaction limit is RM10,000, with service fee from as low as RM10 per transaction.
