Wealth Purification

We uphold the act of charity & selfless giving anytime, anywhere. Forging more inclusive communities, for those in need & for the greater good.

Zakat

Allah S.W.T emphasized the purpose of Zakat in the Quran: “Take from their wealth ˹O Prophet (ﷺ)˺ charity to purify and bless them, and pray for them—surely your prayer is a source of comfort for them. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” [Taubah:103]

Zakat is one of the five pillars in Islam that every Muslim must perform annually. It is an obligation for those who are financially stable to give charity to the less fortunate and to provide hope to the needy. That is why it is important for Muslims to perform Zakat accordingly in order to leave a lasting legacy.

Sadaqah

Sincerity should be the basis for all the things that we do. Sadaqah is one of the highest deeds cherished by Allah S.W.T as it cultivates inclusive communities and encourages sincere charity as a foundation. As mentioned in the Quran: “Surely the men who give Sadaqah and the women who give Sadaqah and have advanced a good loan to Allah S.W.T; for them it will be multiplied and for them there is a noble reward.” [Al-Hadid:18].

The wealth that we have obtained through our own efforts should be shared amongst the needy sincerely to solidify our faith and duty to Allah S.W.T

Infaq

It is important to spend our wealth accordingly and reasonably. That is why the act of Infaq, which means ‘spending’, is an important part of Islam that emphasizes the act of spending without the expectation of reward or return. The Quran emphasizes that Muslims should give more than the necessary requirement: "…… And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]." (Al Baqarah:219).

Infaq is also understood as a term that is associated with donations, such as doing good in the name of Allah S.W.T or for social affairs. This is a rewarding discipline in regards to income distribution, for the spiritual wellbeing of Muslims who practise Infaq.

Qurban

Qurban is an important practice in Islam performed during the month of Dhul Hijjah. It is a religious obligation for eligible Muslims and signifies faith, devotion, and obedience to Allah. Through qurban, Muslims express their generosity and charity by distributing the meat to the needy, promoting unity within the community. It serves as a reminder of the story of Prophet Ibrahim and his unwavering faith. Overall, qurban is a way to fulfil religious duties, strengthen community bonds, and make a positive impact on the lives of others.
