Wasiat Writing

A Wasiat allows you to:

1. Ensure the fulfilment of your amal jariah giving of up to one third (1/3) of your estate to non-Faraid heirs.
2. Appoint someone you trust to carry out your wishes* and manage the administrative aspects (from collection of assets/liabilities, liaising with the land office to settlement of your taxes) of settling your estate. This helps streamline the probate process and ensures that your affairs are handled by someone you choose.
3. Appoint a guardian for your minors, ensuring someone you trust cares for them when you're not around. This ensures that you have a say in who will be responsible for their upbringing and well-being.

For Muslim Malaysian citizens 18 years and above.

1. Login to Maybank2u
2. Select ‘Online Will Writing' from the Main Menu.
3. Select ‘Wasiat’.
4. Enter Applicant details.
5. Enter Executor details.
6. Select the mode of asset distribution. If ‘Entire Estate Distribution Following Your Allocation' is selected, enter Beneficiary(s) details.
7. Request TAC and click ‘Confirm' to proceed with payment

Note: To ensure the validity of the Wasiat, you must sign the Wasiat in the presence of 2 male Muslim witnesses who are 18 years old and above.
