DOBW is the latest payment service introduced by Payments Network Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PayNet) to replace FPX. DOBW allows you to complete transactions securely by redirecting you to your online banking platform or eWallet application, including Maybank2u.
When you check out or pay with Maybank2u via online banking you may see either one of the two interfaces:
Current interface with FPX |
New interface with DOBW |

Aside from the differences in the login page, the rest of the payment process will be the same. Please note that the real M2U site will show your security image and phrase before asking for your password. Always stay alert and familiarise yourself with the signs of fake banking websites. |
The steps to checkout with DOBW follow the existing steps for Financial Process Exchange (FPX). Click here to find out more about FPX.
Do I have to register before making payments with DOBW?
No registration is required to use DOBW. As long as you are a Maybank2u user, you may use it to make payments via online access to your banking account.
I am registered as a sole proprietor at Maybank2u. Am I eligible for this service?
The DOBW service is available for both sole proprietor and individual customers.
What are the operating hours for DOBW?
The DOBW service is available 24 hours daily, 7 days a week. However, it is subject to your online banking service availability.
How can I identify if a merchant accepts payment with DOBW?
‘DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets’ will be listed as a payment option on the merchant's website. The website may also display a link that connects you to DOBW to make payments.
How will DOBW affect my e-commerce/m-commerce transactions?
Your transactions will not be affected as you will automatically be directed to the payment page as per usual.
Is there a limit for DOBW transactions in a day?
The default limit for DOBW transactions is RM3,000 per day and is shared with your FPX transfer limit. This limit can be revised up to a maximum of RM30,000 per transaction with a maximum daily limit of RM50,000*. To change your payment limit, follow the steps here.
Kindly note that once you increase your limit, a 12-hour cooling-off period will apply before the new limit takes effect. During this time, you can only make payments up to your current limit. Rest assured that you will be notified via push notification or SMS on when the period starts and ends.
What happens if I have insufficient funds in my account?
DOBW will only be processed if you have sufficient funds in your account.
Is there a reference number for each of my DOBW transactions?
Kindly refer to the DuitNow Transaction ID found in your receipt at the end of your transaction.
