Trusteeship for Unit Trust Scheme

A unit trust scheme is a type of collective investment scheme where funds from multiple investors are pooled together to invest in a diversified portfolio of securities or other assets. A trustee acts as the custodian of the funds and safeguards the interest of the unit holders.

Trusteeship for Private Debt Securities

Private Debt Securities (PDS) is a debt instrument and serves as an alternative financing option for corporations, GLC and other entities. The issuer (debtor) offers PDS to holders (investors) seeking funding, while holders provide capital in exchange for the promise of payments (periodic interest payments and repayment of the principal amount) at maturity. The trustee shall ensure the payments are made as per payment schedule and protect the interests of the holders in cases of default issues based on the terms and conditions of the trust deed.
