What is this new service all about ?
- Perbendaharaan Malaysia is providing an alternative electronic payment channel for government employees and ex-employees such as those from the Police and Armed Forces to repay loans taken from Bahagian Pinjaman Perumahan (BPP).
- The repayments include monthly or full/half settlement, MRTA and fire insurance.
- The online payment directly debits the savings / current account number of the payee.
Who is eligible to use this service?
All government servants who are servicing housing loans from Bahagian Pinjaman Perumahan (BPP) can use this service.
What are the requirements for payment via Maybank2u.com? Do I have to register first?
These are the requirements to make BPP payment via M2U:
- Register as a Maybank2u.com user
- A Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC) is required
- Payments can be made as an Open payment or Registered Payment.
- The NRIC and Loan Account Number is mandatory for payment to be approved
Is there a service charge or fee?
- Maybank2u.com does not charge the user for using the Bill Payment facility
- BPP is levying a RM0.50 charge for each transaction.
Can I make third party payment, i.e. pay for a loan account which is not under my name?
- Yes, third party payment is allowed.
- The account holder's IC and Loan Account Number is required
How do I make a payment to my BPP loan account?
Follow these steps to make a payment:
- Log on to your M2U account
- Select "Make a one-off payment".
- Go to View all payees by category, and select "eGovernment".
- Under "eGovernment", choose the type of payment:
- BPP - Ansuran/Tunggakan (Instalment / Overdue payment)
- BPP - Wang Beza
- BPP - Penyelesaian Penuh (Full payment)
- BPP - Penyelesaian Sebahagian (Part payment)
- BPP - Ins. Tambahan MRTA (MRTA)
- BPP - Ins. Tambahan Api (Fire insurance)
- Enter the payment amount, BPP account number, I.C. number of holder
- Confirm your payment details and enter a TAC number
- If your payment is successful, a "Successful" message will be presented. This can be printed out for future reference.
What is the maximum transaction limit?
- BPP has not imposed any maximum transaction limit.
- The amount paid however, is dependent on the funds available in the user's savings/current account.
How will I know if my payment has been accepted?
- After you click "confirm" on the payment confirmation page, a result page will appear with a payment status that states, "Successful".
- Users can print out the statement as proof of payment.
Are payments refundable if I accidentally over pay?
- No refunds will be made for any excess amount paid, such as double payment or overpayment.
- BPP will carry forward the excess payment to the following month(s).
- Users are advised to contact BPP immediately if there's been overpayment.
Can I still pay to the loan account after its due date? Is there a penalty?
- You can still pay after the account due date.
- On penalty charges, users are advised to contact BPP
Can I make payments using my credit card accounts via Maybank2u?
No, only direct debit from savings or current account is accepted.
